The Garden Gathers Us

This past Sunday, we gathered together for another community potluck at the beautiful Vale Farm. It was a perfect afternoon with a gentle breeze. creating an ideal setting for gathering with friends and neighbors.

The air was filled with the delicious smells of a wide variety of dishes. From savory casseroles to sweet desserts, every meal told a story. What made the spread even more special was that many of the dishes featured fresh, vibrant ingredients straight from our farms.

Even better than the food was the mix of new and familiar faces. Longtime members of Schenectady Urban Farms chatted with people who were visiting the farm for the very first time. Laughter and conversations flowed easily as everyone shared stories and recipes. Our potlucks aren’t just about the food; they are about connecting with the community, celebrating our shared love for local, fresh food, and the beautiful space that the farms provide. We can't wait to do it again!
