Recipe: Farmer Melissa’s Garlic Scapes Pesto
If you attended our potluck on June 14th, you probably already know that Farmer Melissa’s Garlic Scapes Pesto was a huge (and delicious!) hit with the crowd! She is sharing the recipe with our community, which you can find below. Pair it with some crackers, bread, or even just eat it by the spoonful — it’s that good!
Garlic Scapes Pesto:
1 pound garlic scapes, cut into 2-inch pieces
1 ¼ cups grated Parmesan cheese
1 cup olive oil
1 tablespoon lemon juice
ground black pepper to taste
Blend garlic scapes, Parmesan cheese, olive oil, lemon juice, and pepper together in a food processor until smooth. Serve.
