Celebrate National Honey Month at Schenectady Urban Farms!
September is National Honey Month, and we invite you to celebrate with us! Stop by the Fehr Ave farm to check out our bees and our fresh, local raw honey, plus meet our new mascot, The Happy Bee! Free admission, family-friendly. Rain date will be Sunday, September 28 from 11-2.

Herbal Syrup Apothecary Class
Join us for the season’s elderberry harvest! We will meet at the UUSS (1221 Wendell Ave, Schenectady, NY 12308) to make elderberry syrup for our fall medicine kits. Autumn Equinox Community Potluck BBQ
Join us for a celebration of the autumn season! We'll gather at the Fehr Avenue Farm on the autumn equinox for an evening of good food and great company. Bring a dish to share (plus plate + cutlery) and enjoy a BBQ, along with live music from one of our very own farm members.

Sycamore's Friends & Farmers Event
Schenectady Urban Farms will be tabling at Sycamore’s Friends & Farmers fall event! Stop by this community event to enjoy delicious treats, access helpful resources, and take home farm-fresh produce. This event is completely free and open to the community.

Apothecary Class @ Fehr: Spice Rack Medicine
From culinary herbs to the well known "pot marigold" AKA calendula, there are many plants grown in culinary gardens that can be of use in a home herbal medicine cabinet. We'll explore some grown on the farm and participants can harvest herbs to bring home and process.
Cost is free for members, and a donation will be accepted at the door for non-members. To reserve your spot, please email office@schenectadyurbanfarms.com.

Community Potluck at Vale
Join us for our third potluck of the summer at the Vale Farm! Bring a dish to share, cutlery/bowl/plate for yourself, and a chair, and come enjoy a meal with friends and fellow farmers.

Volunteer Day @ Fehr
Come get your hands dirty and help us care for the land at our upcoming Volunteer Day! This is a wonderful opportunity to connect with nature, beautify our farm, and build community with your neighbors. We'll be tackling a variety of tasks, and no prior experience is needed—just a willingness to work and have fun!

Honey Extraction Event
Come by the Sycamore Collaborative Community Kitchen (837 Albany Street) at 5:30 on Monday, July 28th to help our apiary team with honey extraction. Event is expected to last until approximately 8:00pm. Members will be able to take a bottle of Schenectady Urban Farms honey home with them!
This members-only event has limited spots available.

Join us for a lunchtime sampling of delicious, non-alcoholic, herbal drinks featuring strawberry, rose and lavender. We'll discuss the benefits of different ingredients used in herbal elixirs, oxymels and mocktails.
